Someone Worth Following
This past Sunday, Mitch Knight guided us in reflecting on 2 Peter 2:10-22, considering the difference between truth and falsehood—truth-tellers and false teachers. 2 Peter challenges us to recognize that Jesus is the only truth-teller worth following.
Here are three ways to reflect further and respond to the leading of God’s Spirit:
Who has the most influence on your life?
How can you guard yourself against becoming a false teacher?
Who are three people in your life you can invest in for God’s kingdom?
This Sunday, we’ll continue through God’s word in 2 Peter, reflecting on what it invites us into as we prepare for whatever comes next.
Thank You!
Thank you for helping us pack over 70,000 meals this past weekend. These meals will offer hope and physical nourishment to people in Haiti in Jesus’ name.
We hope you were blessed by helping with the pack. As Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” (Acts 20:35). We hope you’ll participate in the next opportunity we have to host this event!
Thank You!!!
Linger-after this Sunday
On February 9th, following the 10am worship gathering, there’ll be a linger-after with some light food available. Feel free to hang around, catch up with someone, or get to know someone new. You are welcome to contribute any additional food if you feel inclined. Please contact Valerie Hubert with any questions.
A Resource to Help You Journey to Resurrection Sunday
In March, we’ll be offering a prayer guide to help you know Jesus more deeply as we prepare to celebrate His life, death, and resurrection on Easter Sunday. Keep an eye out for this resource so you can get your own copy. We look forward to how God will shape and mold us as we pray and reflect more deeply on His life and example.
Continue to trust that God is present and active.
