Where Kids can Learn about God, Learn about Themselves, and Discover Truth
Our church offers a condensed worship experience for kids that mostly mirrors our adult ministry. Kids can enjoy singing, a video lesson, playtime, and coloring/crafting activities. Impact is separated into two different age groups: Big and Little. Although kids are separated by age, the curriculum we use shares a common theme each week between the two groups.
Little Impact meets in our kids area (image below). This group is designed for Pre-K through 1st Grade, and it offers a simple high-level view of bible-based truths for your kids.
Big Impact meets down in the youth room (image below) and offers a more detailed view of bible-based truths. This group is designed for 1st - 5th Grade, and acts as a natural stepping stone between kids ministry and youth ministry when the time comes (6th-12th Grade).
What to Expect
1.) Kids will leave the auditorium at the start of prayer time in adult worship. Each group has one leader and one helper that will lead them down to their respective classes.
2.) Following the close of adult worship, you will then head down to pick up your kids from their classroom.
3.) Each kid will have a half sheet of paper to give you. This will summarize what was talked about and give you some reflection questions to ask to help them wrestle with what they’ve learned. An example of these sheets is found below. This is a great tool for you to use as disciple your kids!
